Gilbert Arenas is on track to make his season debut Saturday.

And if he does play for the Washington Wizards against the Detroit Pistons, coach Ed Tapscott says the plan is for Arenas to start.

Arenas has been sidelined since having surgery in September. It was the third operation on his left knee in 1 1/2 years.

The three-time All-Star point guard did some shooting but did not participate fully in Friday’s light practice.
